The head company Overlack AG is a traditional family enterprise, situated in Moenchengladbach, Germany.
It was founded in 1922 by Heinrich and Lutz Overlack, sons of a brick producer in Krefeld. They founded the Overlack Bros. Chemical Company GmbH and began producing and trading chemical raw materials for industrial customers in the region. IN the beginning, the customers within the textile industry were of the paramount importance to the company, as well as the textile industry itself to the whole region.
For more than 80 years, the company has progressed and it is now in its third generation of family ownership, led by Peter Overlack.
From a one-time localised company of the Moenchengladbach region, it has, over the decades qrown into an extensive, far-reaching trading group, having subsidiaries in main European countries.
Through acquisitions in the last 25 years and qualitative growth, the overlack group has been able to broaden its sphere of action, its catchment area, its product range and strengthen its position in the market.
